Change happens … One gesture, One person, One moment, One family and One house at a time!

This month we welcome five new Families! Congratulations to our new partner families, Kathleen and daughter, and Hannah and daughter, as well as Bill, Brenna and kids, and Gustavo, Rosa and kids. These are exciting times as their life-changing adventure begins! We will welcome our newest families with a “Family Reunion-Picnic in the Park” where they will have the chance to meet many other Habitat Families on September 7th, diving quickly into their 500 hours of sweat equity with monthly classes and volunteering opportunities. We have also added even more post-purchase education workshops and youth education programming. We believe that our partnership with families does not stop once they have purchased their homes and these monthly homeowner workshops will continue to aid in their successes. The Youth classes will be split into two age groups: Money management for the younger ages and college/career planning and managing debt for older students. Here at Bend Habitat we certainly are in a time of change with our expanded ReStore retail space, moving our office to the new administrative headquarters, enhanced homeowner education, new families and more homes to build.
